Hosting providers

Kahoot! uses hosting providers for some of the operations required to provide services for our users. For example, we rely on external hosting providers with servers in multiple regions to provide a seamless experience for our global community.

Kahoot!´s cloud- and hosting services have data centers in the EU, Canada, Australia and the USA. Personal data processed by Kahoot on behalf of our customers is processed on servers in the EU and Canada only. No personal data is hosted by Kahoot on behalf of our customers on data centers located in Australia or the USA.

Details

“Hetzner Online GmbH:” Used for running the service and hosting. Data centers located in Germany. Processes personal data.

“OVH Hosting GmbH:” Used for running the service and hosting. Data centers located in Canada and France. Processes personal data.

“Google Cloud:” Used for running the service and backup. Data centers located in the EU and the USA. Personal data processed in data centers located in the EU.

“AWS:” Used for running the service. Data centers located in the EU, Australia and the USA. No processing of personal data.

“Microsoft Ireland Operations:” Used for functionality in app (API). Data centers located in the EU. No processing of personal data.
