This page sets out information that Kahoot! is required to publish under the EU’s Digital Services Act (DSA).

Average monthly active recipients of Kahoot! in the European Union

For the six-month period ending on January 31, 2025, Kahoot! had 1.1 million average monthly active recipients (AMARs) in the EU. This means that, for each month during that period, an average of 1.1 million registered users in the EU accessed Kahoot! while logged in to their account.

It is inherently difficult to measure the number of unique people who see or engage with Kahoot! content, because: (i) more than one person may have access to a single user account (such as on a shared device in a school classroom); (ii) multiple devices on a network share the same identifying IP address; and (iii) Kahoot! does not obtain any identifying information from users who see or engage with Kahoot! content without being logged in. As such, the above figure does not represent an estimate of the number of unique people who have seen or engaged with Kahoot! content over the relevant period.

The above figure has been calculated for the purposes of the DSA’s transparency requirements, based on the best information available to Kahoot!, and should not be relied on for other purposes. It may differ from user metrics that have been prepared for other purposes using different calculation methods. We may change how we calculate this figure in future, in line with any changes in relevant guidance and the data available to Kahoot!.

Single point of contact for authorities

If you are a representative of an EU Member State authority, the European Commission, or the European Board for Digital Services, you can communicate with Kahoot! in relation to the DSA by sending an email to legal@kahoot.com. For this purpose, Kahoot! accepts communications in English. This point of contact should not be used to communicate about matters that are not within the scope of the DSA.

Kahoot! users can contact our support team to request assistance using the online contact form here. Once a request is submitted, users can communicate with the support team via email or – for users who are logged in to their Kahoot! account – via selecting “Help requests” under the user icon in the Help & Resource Center.

Out-of-court dispute settlement

Kahoot! users in the EU are entitled to select any out-of-court dispute settlement body that has been certified in accordance with Article 21(3) of the DSA in order to resolve disputes relating to any decision by Kahoot! regarding:

    1. the removal or restriction of information provided by the user;
    2. the suspension or termination of the user’s account or access to the Kahoot! service (in whole or part); or
    3. the suspension, termination or restriction of any ability to monetize information provided by the user

where Kahoot! has taken that decision on the basis that the information provided by the user is illegal or in violation of Kahoot!’s Terms and Conditions.
